  • Fort St. Louis

    Fort Saint Louis was built in 1789 under Saint-Martin’s and Saint-Bartehelemy governor Jeans Sebastien Durat. The goal of this fort was to defend from British and Dutch pirates the settlement and the warehouses of Marigot port where the harvested products (rum, salt, coffee and sugarcane) were stored. Nowadays, it is abandoned but you can enjoy a beautiful 360 view.

    Marigot Market is located in the center of the Marigot waterfront on the French side of Saint Martin. The market is open every day except Sunday from 8 am to 1 pm. You can find a variety of items such as cheap souvenirs, costume jewelry, embroidered cotton clothing and beach cover-ups.

  • Pinel Island

    Pinel Island is a popular destination among both tourists and locals. Pinel island receives regular ferries with visitors from St. Maarten. Visitors can also make use of kayaks and paddleboards to transport themselves to Pinel Island from the ferry station in the town of Cul de Sac located on the French side of Saint Martin. Pinel Island falls under the protection of the French Marine Reserve. The French Marine Reserve prevents further development on the island beyond the Pinel Island gift shop and the one existing restaurant on the island. You can enjoy discovering some of these majestic creatures in the water and on land.
